I thought it was very interesting reading through and examining multiple graphic novels this semester. I think that the amount of detail and the nuances in Watchmen made it very difficult to adapt the novel successfully into a movie. On the other hand, I think that Frank Miller's style was abstract enough and that he broke down his story enough that it was able to spin into an interesting and successful film.

I enjoyed Sin City a lot more than Watchmen, not just for Miller's writing style or the style in which the movie was shot, but for the progression through the plot and the hidden development  of the characters. I think that Sin City was a better movie because, even though it combined three different stories to make one movie, it flowed much better from scene to scene and point to point than did Watchmen. I wonder if this has to do with the author's involvement in the production of the movie. I think Moore's stance on the movie may have hurt the final adaptation from the novel and caused the Zach Snyder to take liberties with the interpretation.
