Response to to Hills like White Elephants

The way the story was written makes it seem as if the camera eye was a fixed position in the train station as the couple comes in. There is no mention of any deeper feelings so that the reader has to draw them for himself.
The piece seems like it would be a scene in a larger movie. It is almost written as if it was a screen play.
