Response to Web Essay Examples

This is a topic area completely new to me. We did a small segment on adaptation study in my AP English class, but never went beyond analysis and comparison of book versus film.  From what I can gather out of these examples, it appears that many of the figures (photos or film clips) add a great deal of support to the claims the writer makes.  I guess the difficulty here is finding these multimedia pieces that work within the essay and are not just tacked on with little implication in the overall essay.  This seems like a flexible topic though. The essay on western film circled around a few works that all contributed in some way to the argument.  I think I'm going to attempt the third approach in analyzing the filmaker's interpretation of the film because it seems to be more of a narrow focus and I know very little about mediums of film, etc to do the first approach.
