The most important aspect of art to me is its ability to evoke emotion in it's audience. There are more subtle ways of evoking joy in people, but I like images that not only create joy they are clearly capturing it as well. Who can't help but feel happy when looking at a photograph of someone laughing?

I think it is so interesting that facial expression transcends language. Laughing indicates happiness and joy in every culture. No matter what the word for laughter is in any language, the action is the same. I feel like this collection of pictures has such an amazing universality to it and makes a really strong (and joyful) statement.

I agree- what a great idea for a gallery topic! Pictures of laughing are always great-candids sometimes turn out the best. It reminds me of a laugh track- when you hear other people laughing, you can't help but join in!

I can't stop smiling

When I was looking through your photo gallery I couldnt stop smiling. Something about seeing other people having a good time and enjoying life just makes me want to smile. This is especially true for the photos of the children. I don't know what it is about those kids but they just make you want to go pinch their cheeks or something. I really like all of your photos and I think you did a great job not only choosing pictures where people look like they are truly enjoying life but you also chose pictures that are very high in quality and look very professional. :-)
