Your media page should contain relevant images, audio files, and videos; these elements can be collected from the Web and woven into the page. This montage assignment will help you learn how to compose with HTML so you can use all of these resources.

Learning how the Web can be used to weave together things you find online enables you to be an active scrubber of the Internet, a scourer sorts. You can wrap your ideas around anything from a corny YouTube clip to a physics lecture to a musical accompaniment of your flowing thoughts.

Follow these steps to learn the basic skills:

1. Insert an image, align it on the page, and resize it so that text flow around it.
2. Embed a YouTube clip into the page, then adjust the parameters to change its size.
3. Create a link to a relevant resource using HTML code.

Once you have accomplished these basic tasks, you can move on to more advanced tasks including,

1. Experiment with fonts.
2. Experiment with tables to arrange items on the page.
3. Learn to upload and embed audio clips that you have made. (I will give more insights into this in a bit.)

In addition, you will probably want to learn to work with fonts. You can adjust fonts in a blog posting using tags like

You can also embed YouTube clips, images, or other materials. I will show you how to compose the links. Then below each entry, compose your own explanations and use samples from the lyrics to weave the songs together into a new creation.

To get started, go to the Create Content link, and then select Montage, and then begin adding elements and composing your page. You can either post and edit your entry as you work. You can also compose using a text editor and paste the text into the blog entry later.
