Playlist:
Pa Pride
The playlist was a very fun project to make. The project helped me realize that there is sometimes more to a song than just the enjoyment to listen to it; there is meaning behind the lyrics and the notes. It took a lot of creativity to come up with an unique topic and relate songs to that topic. I chose to do songs that either reminded me or represent where I am from, Pennsylvania.
Photoessay:
Hazing in Athletics
The photoessay project was also very interesting to make. Once you had a topic, it was really interesting to find and learn a lot more on that topic. This project taught us basically how to make a webpage which some people have never done before and it also gave us more writing experiences by writing about any topic we wanted. My topic was hazing in athletics, which I think is an important issue that people need to become aware of.

I went to youtube and found some pretty interesting videos. Of course the filming was not very professional but they were pretty funny. The one is called crazy dog, which is basically a home video of a dog that is acting all crazy. Another video that I found was called robot dance. this video was filmed at a talent show and it shows this student dancing like a robot better then i have ever seen before. its really funny and actually amazing that someone could move their body in certain ways that this kid did. although these short films are not professionally made they still serve a purpose for entertainment.

There are many techniques that Alfred Hitchcock uses in his films. He is known to like technical challenges. Some challenging shots that Hitchcock makes in his films are ones of great heights, such as in North by Northwest when he shows the characters running out of the UN building. Most of his challenging shots are taken from strange angles which help give a perspective and view that most people wouldn't think of or would even consider. Such types of shots would be looking down, looking up, far away, or zoomed in.
Other shots and techniques he is known for is to make the scenes of great suspense extra dangerous. These scenes are most of the time taken on a stairway of some sort. Hitchcock also likes to make an appearance in all of his films. When watching his films he will show up either getting on a bus or walking in the crowd. That could be said to be one of his trademarks in his film making

My picture wasn't working but I'll explain it instead. I went to flickr and typed in "woman" and got a wide variety of pictures. The one photo that I related to the articles was a picture of a young girl's flat belly. I thought about it and realized that this is one of the main body images that young girls are trying to achieve - having that skinny body. I just wonder what it would be like if there was no such thing as the perfect body.

After reading the article about the image of the 'perfect bodies', I feel sick whenever I think about eating disorders and the image of perfection that our media represents as beautiful. Earlier today I was thinking about this topic without knowing what the article was about. Talking with a friend, we decided that when people (mainly young women) see other attractive women, they usually say "I wish I had her body" or I wish I had some feature that is the ideal. Then thinking about this further we decided that even if the actual 'perfect' woman was put together, she would be completely out of place.

What does everyone think of the reality tv shows that actually change people's lives such as the Extreme makeover home edition? I feel that this tv show is helping many people with some of the most touching stories of hard times in life.

My playlist topic is songs that are about Pennsylvania or about the cities and/or places there. I chose to do this because I wanted to show my pride for my home state.
1. Rocky Theme

I chose to add this song because if anyone has seen Rocky, they will know that it takes place in Philadelphia. Philly is about 50 minutes away from me and part of my family grew up in the city. I also went to a lot of sporting events in philly as I grew up so it's an important place to me.
