Web Essay Assignment

Working in groups of three or four, develop a Web essay for submission to the PIT Journal. Here are the necessary criteria for the essay:

  • The essay should be roughly the equivalent of 8 or so typed pages. 
  • The essay should cover one or more of the class text sets.
  • The essay should refer to three or more scholarly sources.
  • The essay should include one or more embedded videos.

These are basic requirements, but you'll want to come up with an approach to the project that captures the spirit of the PIT Journal:

Every piece selected for publication in the PIT Journal will have at least one thing in common: it will be a provocative contribution to the body of knowledge about a particular scholarly debate, approaching it through the possible lenses of People, Ideas, and/or Things.

You will initially develop your essay using a google doc, and then transfer and further develop the project using the Web Essay option on our site.

A draft is due Feb. 4th

A revision is due Feb 18th.
