This collage, was intended to display a little bit about me. I am studying geography and urban studies, subjects which easily lend themselves to commenting upon the world; my world. This photo is both an expression of creativity and an expression of my own feeling. I intend to portray the idea that much can be learned about the world from study, but religating learning to the isolation of books, computers, or other isolation inducing material possessions will ultimately lead you down of drain of misunderstanding. One must create the world they want to live in, and recognize their own world outside of the book or the computer screen. This will allow them to find who they are and where they want to go.
I would like to present myself on the web in a professional manner giving only information I deem important for others such as future colleagues or employers to see. I also would like to include some information on my interests, maybe a page of suggested books, media, or other resources that I find useful and/or interesting.
The domain name that I have selected is jadaniels.com which is just my first tow initials and my last name. This gives the website the most professional perspective while, also giving direct reference to me.
Here are some excellent personal websites for individuals.
All of these websites (with maybe the exception of Friedman's) are all excellent examples of personal pages. They are all relatively simple, not wishing to berate the view with constant stimulation. They have two or three colors and have simple easy to navigate layouts. These ideas I want to emulate in my own website.
