Feist
- The Reminder -

As soon as this assignment was assigned, I knew that I wanted to do either a Feist album or Feist song. I came to the conclusion that I HAD to review "The Reminder." To me, this assignment began to become more like an opportunity to spread Feist's music and garner her more listeners because I really feel that this album is worth it and that everyone can enjoy at least one song from it. The hard part really was getting used to recording my voice and working the software, but overall -- I think this assignment was successful and enjoyable. I hope that others can gain some insight from my podcast!

the opening set up an move to the sample is fine--you can always tighten things. Do you want to get more quickly to the song analysis and away from the bio? You mention indie pop, but I don't get the discussion in those terms. I do like the detailed descriptions of the music. How does honesty fit with indie pop or other points? I like the use of your voice--nice balance between scripting and smooth narration. I get the poppy discussion more clearly than the earlier segments. Overall making the sincerity focus more clear or connected will make things stronger. Nice work.

Wow

This was really well thought-out and well-executed. It's pretty obvious that you planned it all out, but it didn't seem scripted at all. On a side note, her voice is really awesome and the bass lines remind me of Norah Jones' music, which I dig. If I may make one suggestion, there are a few times when you layer audio and the music could be a little louder. You could probably get away with just normalizing the entire mp3 as a single track.
