Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

Yea, I was already in break mode during class so, these are just some similar points I did not make in class today.  The bombing in Dresden, and Hiroshima seem to be a statement of the universality of the human experience, specifically through time.  The experience with William Black, and the Mom's experience with Ron is a statement to the human experience, but laterally, in that different events can cause grief, yet this grief is universal. And that one must deal with emotions, as opposed to being afraid of them, or risk being like the grandfather, which I think is the theme of the novel.
