The Most Dangerous Game Final Version
Submitted by sarahthomas on Tue, 12/09/2008 - 15:59This is a more serious mash up of the No Country for Old Men. I chose to use audio from The Most Dangerous Game because I think that the way Chigurgh sees his actions and job are sort of like a game. I think that his beliefs are like those exemplified in The Most Dangerous game, that life is a sort of "Survival of the Fittest."

I’ll admit that I didn’t do my research. When I picked the seminar “English and Computers” without reading the background info, I thought I was signing up for a linguistics class, something that would apply to my intended major. I thought that my days of analyzing literature had been over since high school. So when I arrived to class on the first day and it slowly dawned on me that this was indeed an English class (with books and characters and effort) I was a tad dismayed.
Since that day, however, I have found myself digging deeper into my favorite works of art than I ever have, and expressing my interpretations in creative and unique ways.

Solomon Vandy(Revision/Expansion)
Submitted by Mark Jusino on Tue, 12/09/2008 - 07:35I kept the same songs, because I really liked the selections I made the first time. I just went more in depth with why they connect so well, mainly trying to include the music itself as opposed to just the lyrics. Also, I considered taking out "My Life" but decided to leave it in although the explanation stood as short as it was before.

At the beginning of the movie Solomon is seen walking with his son. From the opening scene it is obvious that his love for his son, Dia. The lyrics and melody of this song really shows how Solomon is feeling at the beginning of the movie. He is sending his son off to school and both of them are laughing and joking with each other. The mood is very happy and the song fits it perfectly. Will Smith is talking about the relationship that him and his son have over the back drop of an older version of the song.
