I think the opening and conclusion are very strong. The intro is very conversational, which is great. Some of the subsequent sequences are a little less natural sounding, however, the content and flow is good throughout. Since the interviews are interesting, maybe you could insert one earlier on in the podcast. Great Podcast.

Hey, I like how you analyzed the music like literature, pointing out the literary elements in the band's music; the way you analyzed it really made me feel as if the songs within the podcast weren't just songs, but readings in a sense. Great work!

I think the narration in your podcast is really good, especially in the beginning--you don't sound bored or anything so it helps keep attention. Also, you didn't have any unnecessary pauses and jumped right from one thing to another with good transitions. You had a strong argument and I really liked how you ended it too. I enjoyed listening!

I loved the opening of your podcast. It sounds really natural and professonal. The end worked really well too. I agree that the middle could be condensed, but overall I thought the quality was great and that you made some good points while linking their music to conflicts in society.

i really enjoyed how you focused a lot on their impact on society. i have to agree with the previous comments on the opening song being too long. you did well though.

I agree with Dan on your podcast having a good introduction, but you need to decrease the amount of time London Calling plays after the intro. Overall, the podcast sounded very professional and it made a lot of good points that were well connected with other parts of society. Your volume levels were good and the transitions were well made too. I really like the way that you connected the band to society and did not focus solely on their music. Great job!

Mark, I like the opening with the London Calling background and fade in. I think the LC song itself may play on for a bit too long. I like the GG quote, but would say be careful to keep a conversational feel. Since you will be picking up LC again, thinking about how to cut it up and weave samples into your narration will help—as the Beatlemania clip does so well—so just a bit more of that maybe. Again, the ice age clip works well, so maybe it is just tightening up the earlier segments. The Supermarket piece works well, I think, but again, the clip plays a bit long, I think. The interview segment is nice, but the first clip is a bit short, making it hard to use. The second clip is stronger so maybe move the focus to inspiration for this part of the discussion. The societal conflict segment has a nice focus and the closing is really nice. This is coming together well. I think the way you bring a sense of beginning and end to the cast using the LC lens is great, so the middle and tightening/organizing the weaving of points and clips will make it even stronger. Great work.
