Final Draft: Personal Branding via Blogging!! :)

I really enjoyed completing this project because I believe that the ability and knowledge to create a successful online presence, particularly a blog is an incredibly useful skill to possess.

It actually ended up being longer than I originally anticipated but I am very satisfied with the final product  even though I had to cut content to stay within the length of 5-6 minutes.

I also used the microphone in Camtasia for the first time, and was satisfied with the result, although I wish that Camtasia had a feature to edit the voice clip for errors afterwards, instead of having only the option to completely record the entire piece over again.

I know that everyone is busy with finals but I would love to hear any feedback that you might have!

I hope that after watching this video you take away three things:

1. An understanding of what comprises a successful blog

2. An appreciation that some people can actually earn a living via social media.

3. Remember some interesting or cool examples of blogs, and maybe you might be inspired enough to create your own.

Here are some of my favorite blogs, some of which were mentioned in this video:

The rubric approach is working well. The narration delivers information well. A few spots feel like they could use a bit of polish. I wonder about using text to lay out the criteria on top of the narration might make sense. I wonder about spreading some of the narration out to extend over the musical parts of the video so it can slow a bit. Also, maybe some text can be used to revisit the criteria as you are discussing the examples. Some of the text on screen during the examples might be expanded and held longer to complement the visuals with more information and points. Nice work.
