News Consumption on the Internet

Sorry this is a bit late, I've been having some technical problems with the computers I've been able to work on.

I used the sources mentioned in the bibliography I submitted, as well as a chart from the following website.

I also used the following for information on reddit's demographics.

I got the information about reddit's popularity from http://www.alexa.com/.

I also used the following youtube videos.

I didn't create any of the images that weren't screenshots of reddit or one of my sources.

The narration does well at introducing the topic. The visual materials do well at complementing the narration. I like the way that reddit is contextualized in terms of the shift in media. I feel like the voting aspects of reddit might get more play sooner and be connected to the shift. I like the close reading of a specific thread. I wonder about weaving in some more concrete transitions between segments. I like that the piece takes up the downside of the shift as well. I wonder about a bit more expansion regarding the balance between old and new, particularly in terms of moderators. I feel like a few final points giving more play to the way the shift is still happening might extend the conceptual work a bit more. Some of the mechanical aspects of the narration might be polished. Nice work.
