Twitter Music Outreach

This Twitter Music Outreach Video informs people of how new technologies and support for creative ways of making music are being brought to poor, undeveloped areas of the world, and how people are getting involved locally to teach music to underprivileged children. These outreach efforts to support music activities provide enjoyment of music, as well as teaching lifelong skills, such as commitment, discipline, and self-esteem.

Mason I really love this.

Especially the open music. You did an amazing job. I did not realize there was such a variety of music out there, or that UNC had a beat mixing lab? That's kind of incredible and I would really like to hear more about it if you have time.

The beat and soundtrack do a great job of moving the piece along. And the work with the screen materials is also strong. Some of the longer middle segments might be augmented by adding some text callouts that bring in the voice of the video author and point out some of the key aspects of the project and some of the issues at play with the initiative--poverty, creativity, outreach, etc.  Again, the use of materials in the second half brings lots of good content into the video. And this can be complemented perhaps with more guidance about the key issues at play--quality of instruments vs. opportunity, etc. Some of the points that come up in the texts at the end, for instance, might be threaded earlier into the piece with some callouts. Nice work. I enjoyed this a lot
