Tasks

To wrap up work in the class, I thought I'd list a few of the closing tasks:

Prepare the handoff of your PIT Journal submission

Screencasts

This is my Harry Potter Screencast.  It's mainly about how I think it's kind of funny that no matter what your traits might suggest, if you're one of the good guys, you're in Gryffindor.

This is my mashup screencast from class.

Trouble with links!

Anyone else having trouble with links working? Sometimes it says Page Not Found when I click on the links I've embedded in my portfolio!

I Love the Office mashup

Check out my revised mashup. I edited the places where the voice-overs were mismatched and I think it looks a lot better.  I am eager to get some feedback about my use of two different songs. My goal was to juxtapose the serious music with the comical prank scenes, but I am unsure whether I should just stick with the original throughout. Let me know what you think!

Did You Know? 2.0

Check out this video. Though some of the information is a bit dated now, I think a lot of it relates to things we have talked about in this class. It forces viewers to think about the implications of living in "exponential times." The original version of this video was shown at a national conference for public school teachers, encouraging them to think about how to adapt education to our age of mass information.

"The Dark Pageant" Final Draft of Mash-Up

My final mash-up is below. I chose "Miss Congeniality" and paired it with "The Dark Knight" trailer voiceover. There are a few black-out areas for a split-second, but they are intentional (it follows with "The Dark Knight" trailer, and I think they are appropriate). Enjoy!

Embedding Prezis into Portfolios

As I'm putting together my final portfolio, I have decided I would like to embed our group's PIT submission Prezi. I tried copying/pasting the embed code from the Prezi site itself (in the plain text editor mode), but it just shows up as a blank box on my portfolio. Everything else I've embedded (videos, pictures, etc.) has worked just fine so I'm confused! Has anyone else managed to make this work?

yet another...Watchmen Screencast Revision

I revised my screencast in response to comments I received on my previous draft.

Watchmen Screencast Revision 3 from Emily Evans on Vimeo.

The Inconvenient Dead [revision]

This is my revised mash-up. My main focus was to make the audio transitions a bit more seamless, so I added in an extra sound/film clip.

'Watchmen' Screencast [revision]

This is revision of my screencast on Watchmen. I added narration and tried to cut back on some material. The smaller text is also a bit blurry during playback (in HD mode on Vimeo it looks great) but there's a voice to go along with it now. I'm still worried about the pacing at some parts, so please let me know if there are any specific points where it goes too fast/slow. Thanks!
