Racial Relations on College Campuses

America is the ultimate melting pot of the world. This mixture is the essence of America today. The United States' college campuses should reflect this diversity. Sadly this is not the case. Minority enrollment in college is up but even more minorities need to attend college. College campuses should reflect the makeup of the country to which they belong. If more minorities attend college, maybe people would see different races as just as capable and intelligent as each other. I am not saying that racism would magically cease, but an increased minority enrollment might help. Different ethnic groups, with an education, might get higher positions and more opportunities in the work force, thus showing the world of his or her true capabilities. College campuses have many issues to face. An important one is how colleges deal with race, focusing on the different programs to accommodate different races to faculty to the students themselves to ensure minority retainment.
