E 306CA, 27195, Week Ten, October 31, November 2
and 4.
Monday:
On Monday, October 31, 1994, we decided on our research topics. We had
five broad research groups. Technology, Foreign Relations,
Gender and Race, Environment, and Campus Issues were the general research groups.
We split into those groups. Each group decided on a secretary
for the group. Each individual of the group a sub-topic for himself.
After we picked our sub-topics, we made Eudora nicknames
to send messages to people in our group. Eudora nicknames help send mail
with the same message to many people.
After the nicknames were made, many people looked in Newswatcher or Nuntius to find information for the paper.
I found information on privacy pertaining
technology.
Wednesday:
On Wednesday, November 2, 1994, we started to construct a home page about ourselves
for a web site. If you need instructions on how to start your home page, click here.
A good example of a home page is Natasha Rogers' page. If you would like to see her
page, click on Natasha. The assignment that had to be done by Friday was to
read Chapter 14 of Writing Arguments. It was also mentioned that Chapters
14 and 16 should be read by Monday. A quiz was hinted at by our teacher.
Friday:
On Friday, November 4th, we started out by getting details on our personal
research proposal paper. We then got together in our groups to discuss and
make a home page which will be used in for our final project to create a group
Mosaic site. We will put our personal research proposal papers together as
well as other information to create the Mosaic site dealing with the various
issues researched within the group.
