Twitter Video Proposal (DIY: Home Decor)

For my twitter video, I decided to inform and entertain viewers about DIY home decor and how DIY videos and websites can impact the lives of the people who use them. In the video, I plan to use tweets, pictures, and some of the DIY websites that I have found to possibly get the audience interested in DIY and to even go out and actually do it themselves.

For this assignment, I will use the Slow Combers, a tweet video, that we watched in class, as a model for my video. A lot of the pictures will come from my own DIY home decor that I have done and from websites that I frequently visit when looking for ideas. There is one article I found that talks a little bit about when DIY became popular and I do plan on using that as background information most likely before I give examples of the DIY projects many people including myself have completed.

I am thinking of having a few videos playing at once like in a square on the screen and have live tweets in the center of the videos. And at the end, I will probably show some finished DIY projects and the in-store item they replicate as well as the prices of both.

Some major points from this article are that DIY most likely started with the baby boomers in the 50's and 60's and I will also discuss why and how it became as popular as it is today.

A huge concern of mine is that it may be too short or it may be composed of mostly pictures and not enough information.
