Project 1, Task 4

Today we will prepare our first web projects for review. By the end of the day you should have a working set of web pages that contain original analysis of your topic and links to relevant materials. The form of the draft should be a web readable group of pages. I will open the "index.html" page with a browser and follow the links that you have set up

Some of the things you'll want to check, then, are that all the links are working. You will also want to check for spelling errors and typos. Finally, consider your presentation of the materials. Are the links discusssed with enough detail to illustrate their nature? Do you have any graphical elements on your pages? How are they implemented? What about the layout? I will be evaluating the projects for all of the above, so spend some time today working on these aspects. Later we will offer peer review of each other's work.

To help with review, I'd like you add a mailto command to you page. In general it is good style to sign and date your pages at the bottom. To add the mailto command to your pages, type some text at the bottom and highlight the words you want to be hot text. Make a link using the information mailto:[your e-mail address]". The final version of the command should look like <A HREF="mailto:iamdan@mail.utexas.edu">. Once you have added the mail command to the bottom of your page, you can work on the other things in the list. We'll review each other's work in a bit.
