E 309M Computers and Writing

Project 3, Task 2

There are two things you need to do to keep working on the third project. Since the first task asked you to write a short but in depth analysis of an image sound or video clip from Bladerunner, you should spend some time thinking about ways to use multimedia. To help, you should take a look at a poor example of multimedia.

You should also check out a better example.

These samples are only excepts. If you'd like you can read through

Daniel's essays on multimedia writing.

These readings will prove useful fo the rest of the course, so do check them out. Remember, also, that you're working to choose an image, clip or sound and then to analyze it in detail. Resources are located at the bladerunner FAQ site,

The off-world Bladerunner page.

The final task for today is to make an html page with a link to your item and a space for your analysis. If you are currently enrolled, place the html file in the folder called "mmanalysis". Add whatever formatting and design elements you feel are needed. Take a lesson from the samples above, though; don't overlook careful analysis in favor of bells and whistles. Good luck and, as always, let me know if you have any questions.
