Internet Freedom, Censorship, and Surveillance

For my video essay I want to discuss the topic of internet freedom, censorship, and surveillance.  In this video I want to explore the more cut-and-dry censorship that China participates in with it's "Great Firewall of China".  However, I also want to go in depth about how the US is participating in censorship and surveillance.  While authoritarian regimes like China might be more readily seen as censoring the internet and taking power and control online the US is more subtle, utilizing exisiting laws and expanding upon them to censor and monitor online usage.  The US with it's constitution

Hey guys! For any who haven't seen the movie "John Tucker Must Die," it's very Mean Girls-esque - it's a movie about how a group of girls set out to destroy a jock-player type guy, and end up becoming monsters themselves. I thought it would be interesting to juxtapose clips from the movie with the trailer of "The Exorcist." Enjoy!
